WAVE I
This 9x12 pastel is the first of a series of waves that I'm putting together for my upcoming One Woman Show at the Mendocino Art Center in July.  Please check back often for additional work as it comes off the easel... and see them all at www.marquessart.com
and

The wave series started 4 years ago during a particularly cold and wet winter when I was confined to the studio.  I painted six at that time, and sold 4 to my new neighbors who happen to have one of the most beautiful views in the world from their livingroom windows.  The water close-ups represent an almost abstract display, and were in complete symbiosis with their view of the ocean.

WAVE II
Almost finished, unsigned for this photo, but too excited to not show what's happening in my studio!  Here is the website for the WAVES
